Are your e-zee counters really free?
Yep, they sure are. Our counters are supported by the addition of a small text advertisement on each of them. This covers our costs and allows our advertisers to reach a diverse group of new customers, while providing you with a great service, at a great price (It doesn’t get any cheaper than free!), and without a great big ugly banner ad.
What types of advertisements are going to be displayed with an e-zee counter?
Very small and little text ads directly under the counter code; usually not more than 25 or 30 characters long, set in size 2 font, and ALWAYS linking to family friendly sites. We also try and work with non-profit and/or educational sites to help them spread the word about themselves. Many times you may see an ad labeled “PSA” meaning that that is what we consider a Public Service Announcement. Irregardless, all of our advertisers provide family friendly content and have been reviewed in-depth before we accept their ads. And not only that, but you are provided with a link to the advertiser being promoted on your choice of counter before you even cut and paste the code. That way, you can see what exactly it is going to look like and verify that the site will not be offensive to your viewers.
I don’t like ads on my site. Can I take it off?
No, the ad needs to stay with the counter, or your account will be disabled and we can then show any graphic that we want instead. This could be a small little notice that those that remove ads are stealing our services, or it might be a giant graphic advertising something that you wouldn’t want there. Either way, it’s much better for both of us for you to decide in advance that you will keep the small little un-intrusive text ad with the counter, or you can use another counter provider that charges you for their service. The choice is up to you!
Come on, I know you guys get a ton of people signing up, are you
really going to check them all to make sure the ad is there?
YES. Since we charge by the number of sponsored counters installed, we have a duty to our advertisers to ensure that their ad is in fact where we say it is. So we check each and every install within a couple of weeks. And honestly, if you’re asking these types of questions, our service really isn’t for you; there are many other providers out there that allow you to not show an ad. They just charge you money instead; the choice is yours!
My site is hosted on a free hosting account;
can I still use an e-zeeINTERNET counter?
As long as you have access to the source code of your pages so that you are able to place the code exactly as we provide it to you, there is no problem whatsoever with using e-zee counter on a free hosted site.
Can I use an e-zeeINTERNET counter in e-mails?
ABSOLUTLY NOT!!!! e-zee counters are meant to be used on pages that are publicly available on the INTERNET. If we find you are using one in an e-mail (And it usually only takes about 5 minutes after the first one has been sent!) we will not only remove your account, we will post an personally identifiable information we can find on our front page in bold bright red letters so the world knows what you have done. DO NOT USE E-ZEEINTERNET.com COUNTER IN E-MAILS!!!
